Go ahead and flame me if you want, FReepers, but I thought Matt Damon was terrific in Team America World Police.

He delivered his lines perfectly and I truly forgot he was an actor at all. Had a lot of makeup on though...

Well, THAT'S a winning formula. Get an audience, spit and yell at them, call them names, and charge them for it.

Moron.

The best satirical send up on Herr Damon had to be in the puppet movie Team America where this icon of liberal vapidness could only respond to any question or statement with a robotic recitation of his name "matt damon.."

Hilarious!

Equally uproarious was Team America's 'biting' makeover of the Actor's Union, renaming it the Film Actor's Guild, and its ever so appropriate acronym..

At first I thought you were talking about the GOP.

There are so many knee jerks posting on this forum nowadays that if I heeded everyone’s asinine advice I’d be forced to boycotts every departments store, every chain restaurant, every movie not featuring John Wayne or Tom Selleck, and only listening to music by Toby Keith and Barbara Mandrell. Not that there’s anything wrong with that....

Thank you, I’ll see the movie myself and decide on its politics myself.

Contribute to the causes and personalities that you deem worthy. It will support and advance their efforts.

You better not patronize any person or company that isn’t perfect or you are a hypocrite.

Who knows what you mean by “perfect” or by “person” or “company” but post 29 made sense in the context of this thread topic and the movie industry.

Anyone with any common sense would understand. Anyone.

Do all your entertainers, artists, and authors have to pass a political litmus test? Or can you enjoy their work for the sake of the work itself?

I won’t pay to support anti American propaganda films and actors.

This kind of action is starting to affect Hollywood, the cracks are starting to show.

Like I already said “Contribute to the causes and personalities that you deem worthy. It will support and advance their efforts.”

I won’t pay to support anti American propaganda films and actors.

Of course you'll have to trust others on that, won't you?

That means that you'll be basing your decisions on what others tell you to do instead of finding out for yourself.

Good luck with that philosophy on life.

LOL, no I have read movie reviews and news all my life, and today it is easier than ever, you should try it some time.

It sounds like you choose to remain ignorant, which is a weird place for a conservative to be.

Give your entertainment money to whomever you like, Jane Fonda, Sean Penn, Barbara Streisand, Oliver Stone, support them all, enjoy.

I’ve found movie reviews to be rather unreliable.

But hey, if you would rather read what others say about a movie, or a book, or music, or a candidate or just life itself, that is your choice.

As far as remaining ignorant, wow...you’re the one who seems to want to live vicaiously and I’m the one advocating personal first hand experience...you have an odd definition of ignorance!

I’ve found movie reviews to be rather unreliable.

You aren't supposed to take them literally, you should know the reviewer and how they review.

Why are you so obsessed with winning my approval of who you support, just support the liberal activists and their work that you choose to, or that you don't know, or don't care that you are supporting, whatever.

All I posted to you was this, which is a simple statement of fact, and you have been on me for two days now.

Maybe anti-war movies upset you, but some of the best IMO would include “Coming Home”, “Gardens of Stone”, and “Best Years of Our Lives”.

Some people consider anti war to be anti American.

Some people consdier movies critical of American policy to be anti American. That sword cuts both ways.

Some consider “Hurt Locker” a fantastic film but I can’t see how or where. It had potential, but had poor character development, a truly odd story line, and an awkwardness that made it fall flat on its face.

I wouldn’t recommend it to anyone.

But if you have interest in it, go find out for yourself, don’t take me word for it.

You aren't supposed to take them literally

If they say a movie stinks or is great, how should one take that?

Metaphorically? Allegorically?

I care nothing for your approval and not seeking it. Actually, mocking your attitude of taking everyone else's word for things in order to make up your mind and deciding to eliminate the works of those with whom you disagree simply because you don't like their politics.

But I'm a bit of hypocrite on that, too, as I won't pay a dime in a jukebox for a dixie chicks tune. Won't even down load their stuff for free on limewire lol.

Here is a good site for movies since you are a movie fan.
http://bighollywood.breitbart.com/

Remember that you can check out movies for free from the library.
