IG investigation and you shred files. What do you suppose would prompt someone to do that?

Apparently I’m a little behind the times, or I’m having a brainfart of some magnitude... but since when does NOAA do fisheries enforcement? What happened to the NMFS?

One would think that the IG office is also imcompetent.
Like the "Miranda Rights," shouldn't offices about to be investigated automatically be advised when they are the target of an investigation "not to destroy or remove files for any reason" until the investigation is over?
"The shredding was planned for a year" sounds both lame and childish, and should trip BS meters all over the place.
