They say when they arrived at the Chicken Hut, they found Verner lying on the ground in front of the restaurant's pick-up window.
He had been shot multiple times, according to Tulsa Police Sergeant Mike Eckert.
They had a difficult time getting through the crowd to provide aid to the victim, and no one was trying to help the injured man, Eckert said. People were instead stepping over Verner to get to their food orders.

“Based on the photo, I surmise it might be an Amish fellow.”
What photo? I did not see any accompanying photos of anyone except the policeman in the video.

No one should be surprised at this. The "gangsta" culture does no value life but only what they can extract from it.
So, it only makes sense that the dead/dieing man had no value beyond what he may have had in his pocket.
After his pockets were emptied, he was nothing more than an impediment to the other patrons.
One question I have is why do these folks always seem to buy prepared food. Do they not know how to cook or is it just too much work?

This just goes to show-—— If you kill them, they will come.
I am so darn glad that I do not live anywhere near the jungles that so many of you live.
Buy a place in the country folks, and get the heck out of there.

That must be some mighty fine chicken. Note to self, when in Tulsa, try the Chicken Hut. This stuff never happens at the Colonel’s, just sayin.

Eckert said customers even shoved past emergency personnel as they went to the take out window.
Midwestern family values.

Do they not know how to cook or is it just too much work? Pretty much the only time they go to their flat is to crash.

So they opened a store in a “food desert”? Moosechelle will be proud, even if they lose their arse.

Don’t worry about it, all the english teachers must be logged on today. It seems pretty clear that; Tulsa restaurant patrons step over a shooting victim,,,,to reach the pickup window.
Anyway,, as to the story itself. Amazing,,,simply amazing. Happened where i live once. Woman in a grocery store committed suicide 5 in the evening in the bakery department. It was the night before thanksgiving. It was stupefying to see the shoppers, angry because they couldnt get into the bakery zone for a pie.

When visiting Tulsa, Cain's Ballroom is as close to North Tulsa as you ever want to be...day or night.

I am fascinated by the concept of “Cain’s Ballroom”. Does one bring their brother or their date to such a place?

Not sure what you mean there pard', but you can attend events at Cain's as an individual, or in groups, small or large.
Very cool place to see bands of all types. Cain's is historic...look it up...very important to music since the 1920's (IIRC).

about walking over people....i used to work in the cardiopulmonary lab at dartmouth hitchcock medical center. the communications director was a heart patient. she collapsed onto the floor of the reception area while waiting for her dr’s visit. i watched several cardiologists walk right over her on their way out of the lab — it was a lab technician that revived her and helped her up.

The owner should have closed the restaurant until the emergency personnel finished their work. You have to serve chicken while it's hot
