Golly! I thought the word up was that Chuck E. Cheese has become a cesspool of violence and depravity?
Happened to us once at a Burger King. We were in a large group packed into several vehicles. When we got home 15 minutes later was when we realized we lacked one child. Worse moment of our lives. Immediately called manager while others rushed back to restaurant. People eating there saw us leave without child and waited for us to realize it and return.
Taking the kid to Chuck E. Cheese’s in the first place is child abuse in and of itself.
My own personal version of Hell; to be stuck in Chuck E Cheese for all eternity. Purgatory would be having to bide my time in a Mall without a Radio Shack or book store.
Happened once with one of my sister-in-laws kids. Everyone left to go somewhere & left the boy playing in the front yard of my in-laws house. When they got to the restaurant, they realized that no one had taken the kid with them. When they got back to the house, the kid was still playing in the yard like nothing had happened.
If I’d been there, this wouldn’t have happened cause I’m the type who has to check 3 times to make sure all kids are accounted for. My sister-in-law doesn’t seem to care so much about who’s got her kids.
My in-laws are a strange bunch anyway, so wrapped up in their own thoughts, I’m really surprised this hasn’t happened more often.
I’m sure these things happen much more often than is reported. I’m just glad it ended well.
