Nobel Laureate Al Gore was mocked Thursday at the Apple shareholders meeting in Cupertino, California.
As the subject of whether or not he should be reelected to the tech giant's board of directors surfaced, one longtime shareholder stood up saying, "[Gore] has become a laughingstock. The glaciers have not melted."
According to CNET, the gentleman then wisely said, "If his advice he gives to Apple is as faulty as his views on the environment then he doesn't need to be re-elected" (h/t Gateway Pundit via Glenn Reynolds):
Gore was seated in the first row, along with his six fellow board members, in Apple's Town Hall auditorium as several stockholders took turns either bashing or praising his high-profile views on climate change.
At the first opportunity for audience participation just several minutes into the proceeding, a longtime and well-known Apple shareholder--some would say gadfly--who introduced himself as Shelton Ehrlich, stood at the microphone and urged against Gore's re-election to the board. Gore "has become a laughingstock. The glaciers have not melted," Ehrlich said, referring to Gore's views on global warming. "If his advice he gives to Apple is as faulty as his views on the environment then he doesn't need to be re-elected."
Of course, if Gore would have lost his reelection bid, I'm sure he would have asked for a recount!

IMHO, Gore would not have invited this so strongly if he had been a little less of a hypocrite.
Running around in jet planes, building huge mansions and buying coastal condos while preaching on the evils of consumption is no way to build respect.
Another demo I can not stand (Gore.)
But he is laughing all the way to the bank.
What a world we live in- crooks at every turn.
Your statement is applicable to Nancy Pelosi and Obama as well as Gore. Traipsing around in government planes for dates and family accompanyment at taxpayer expense is not the stuff that shows respect for the hard work of taxpayers toward their folly.
Al Gore to donate his half of Nobel Prize money to charity
Al Gore plans to donate the money he receives for the Nobel Peace Prize to the Alliance for Climate Protection, a nonprofit organization that he chairs, reports The New York Times.
CEOs of Isle healthcare nonprofits get top pay
Snips: When the nonprofit Hawaii Medical Service Association disclosed that Chief Executive Officer Robert Hiam earned more than $1 million in 2006, it raised eyebrows among state lawmakers, regulators and critics of the local health insurer........Two others Queen's Health System CEO Arthur Ushijima and Hawaii Pacific Health CEO Charles Sted received more than $900,000 in total compensation last year.

Lol, Gore's sinking fast.

Don't worry... Apple is not listening to any advice from Al Gore... it's the board who is listening to Steve Jobs... and a good thing they are listening to Steve Jobs... LOL ...
I have no argument there...
Green as in watermelons.

Algore making $$$$$$$$ off of false science! CHARLATAN!
Speaking of this thing, Cindy Sheehan, I heard some guy on ABC radio this morning, substituting for Kudlow (not familiar with Kudlow either) talking about this book called “Americans Who Tell the Truth”, and that it is being used in schools to teach our children...here’s a link to a site about the book and a couple of comments from a comment page about those who ‘spoke the truth’ like Sheehan, Van Jones and others, whacko’s and commies, making personal statements that were added to the book..just sickening what is being indoctrinated in children’s minds!

Personal statements from Truth Tellers added
I have asked the living subjects of the portraits to write statements about how their commitment to fighting for justice came about. About 25 have responded so far & these statements are scattered throughout the pages, posted right next to the portrait. If you look at page 6 of the portraits, 7 of those people have the statements up — including Lily Yeh, Diane Wilson, Hal Crowther, Natasha Mayers, Ann Wright, Cindy Sheehan, and Bruce Gagnon.

Algore. The Rodney Dangerfield of junk science.
ManBearPig
Albert Arnold Algore Jr. was a laughingstock during the 2000 campaign. He became a disgrace during the recount debacle, then back to a laughingstock when he became the High Priest of Global Warming.
This is hilarious!
