Well, as someone said in the first panel, I could do w/o the inter-religion backbiting; but, with that said, the Founding of this great country was done with a background of religion. Almost all the signers were Christians (of the 56, one Catholic, most were Episcopal (COE) and Presbyterians, with Anabaptists, Quakers and Reformed also present. As far as I know, there was only one character who played a role in the Founding who was an anti-religious atheist: Tom Paine.
The rest were believers, Christians, who acted like Christians and opened this country to all (even to my ignorant Jewish grandfather who cam here in 1892).
