And saying we're all going to die if we don't get socialized medicine
isn't fear mongering?

Nancy’s baby, Ronald’s maybe. Nancy was a good wife, horrible mother.

Ron Reagan, a shame to President Reagan’s name. He is such a d0ch3 bag. He doesn’t even deserve to have his last name be Reagan.

I wonder how his dad will rebuke him if he is alive today. Kind of ironic, Ron was not seen and not heard while his dad was alive. He needs to be not seen and not heard.

Ron Jr. is cursed by his father's brilliance. There is nothing he can do that would ever measure up to the standard set by his father. Like the wind, he makes a sound that drowns out out others, yet ultimately it is meaningless. If I am embarrassed by him, I can only imagine the chagrin of President Reagan.

“the GOP is always trotting out Ronald Reagan.”

Funny how non one mentions that the Dems like to trot out FDR and JFK while their hard core supporters wear Che shirts while worshiping the teachings Mao and Marx.

"One of the traditional methods of imposing statism or socialism on a people has been by way of medicine. It’s very easy to disguise a medical program as a humanitarian project. Most people are a little reluctant to oppose anything that suggests medical care for people who possibly can’t afford it.

"Now, the American people, if you put it to them about socialized medicine and gave them a chance to choose, would unhesitatingly vote against it. We had an example of this. Under the Truman administration it was proposed that we have a compulsory health insurance program for all people in the United States, and, of course, the American people unhesitatingly rejected this."

~ Ronald Reagan, 1961

Under Truman, under Clinton, under Obama.... Drives the liberals bonkers.

“...wrong in opposing Medicare because some of the dire predictions have not happened yet...”

Some of his dire predictions have come true concerning Medicare...

1. Fiscally unfit
2. Inefficient layers of bureaucrats
3. Skyrocketing costs
4. Care becomes less and less personal

Since children tend to take after the parent of the opposite sex, Ron Jr. might be more like Nancy than the Gipper. Patti will (and I think somewhat already has) soften up toward her dad, but Ron, probably not.

There is a fundamental flaw in their argument. Namely, that one of the reasons Reagan’s “dire predictions” haven’t come to pass (though not from lack of trying on the socialists’ part) is that Reagan made them. Yes, people can influence history.

This creepy kid may be in his 40s, but he is stuck in adolescence. Still holding out hope that he will become an adult one of these days.

Duly noted and no argument. Perhaps this will pass muster.

Lil' Ron is cursed by his father's brilliance. There is nothing he can do that would ever measure up to the standard set by his father. Like the wind, he makes a sound that drowns out out others, yet ultimately it is meaningless. If I am embarrassed by him, I can only imagine the chagrin of President Reagan.

The media has SAT on this record for years now. It’s been online and discussed. It should have been used in the 2008 campaign.

Obamacare should not have gotten THIS far along.

"the GOP is always trotting out Ronald Reagan. I mean, can't they come up with something new? This was 50 years ago,"

Commies have been trotting out Karl Marx for a hundred years, lousy Reds.

My cash payments at my doctor’s visits SUBSIDIZED the services of Medicare patients.

Maureen would destroy Ron Jr. in a debate. As would Mike Reagan.

“...cash payments at my doctor’s visits SUBSIDIZED the services of Medicare...”

...in addition to your taxes that go to the general fund.

You make a great point.
