I’m not surprised one bit. Liberalism (sorry, progressivism in the current venacular) is a mental illnes. In this case (as well as many other cases), it goes by the name of narcisism. To wit, preserving his delusional worldview is more important to him than the life of his own child.
Another word for it is evil.
Yes, I fell for it for a bit myself. I could see some liberals saying this... but it was so far over the top I started to do some research on the author.
He is good. He really can get to the essence of the liberal gore, and push it just a little more to make it satire.

Somebody posted this morning that this fellow is actually a conservative and writes this stuff as a “reductio ad absurdum”. There apparently are a number of examples on line.

Like all liberals: they don’t like defense, hate guns, mandate abortion and want everyone to take care of and pay for their beliefs, that way they can manage society through power of government intervention…and of course at the end of that gun barrel.

I ran into this suicidal belief during the 1968 MLK riots. I got a frantic call from my GF down in an old mixed inner city neighborhood stating that she and her mother needed to get out of there ASAP. I stuck a revolver in my belt under my shirt and drove down there, passing burning stores and goons with clubs along the way. Her mother started yelling I better not bring a gun into her house because she would rather die and have her daughter die than have someone shot on their behalf. I acted all innocent, no gun blah blah, and we managed to get out through the NG roadblocks without anyone getting shot.
Fine. WTSHTF, I’d off most of the East Coast anyway. The food riots in Boston ought to take care of people like this in the first few weeks. Problem solved.
