Speedy just wanted stolen largesse and Sylvester was “bad” for wanting to protect his owners home. Sounds like 2010 not 1950s !
Yes — aimed at the young children mostly (like tweety bird/etc.) — they need reassurance that the little guy sometimes wins.
Foghorn Leghorn/Barnyard Dog is aimed at the older set; sometimes Foghorn wins and other times Barnyard Dog wins.
I suppose they think Foghorn was racist too — being patterned after an old school southern politician (Senator Claghorn on the old Fred Allen radio show, as I understand).
