On christmas I found an old cardbox with letters, pictures etc. from my youth at my parents house. Among those is an entire staple an American girl sent me about 15 years ago. We were both around 16 back then. She was for two weeks in Germany for a holiday or school exchange or something like that. We became great friends and for the following 6 months after her departure she literally sent a salvo of teenage loveletters and I didn't wrote her back ever.

Now I found her on Facebook, still with her maiden name and looking cute to boot. Really, really attractive woman from Ohio near the great lake. I thought about contacting her but then I found that she also appears in this database:

What does that mean if you're in that database? She has 3 entries.

Actually, my experiences involve the single, attractive, and available female confiding to me that she "had such a crush on me during high school/college/whatever." When I make myself available, thinking "better late than never," I get "not so fast, you were a jerk."

The sad part is, I never was a jerk, just oblivious . . . to the female mind the same things.
