"I want to be as big as I can if it's going to stop a bullet." It's good to have goals. But she may be attributing more bullet-stopping power to body fat than is warranted.

Wow - shot in an Atlantic City nightclub... who'd of guessed that could happen? Maybe there's a hidden lesson there.
But that consideration aside, "stopping" a bullet is not exactly the goal here. Anyone can "stop" a bullet. Perhaps simply AVOIDING bullets and places where they are so freely dispensed is a better idea (AC "nightclubs"???).
It apparently escaped her attention that if she was even a slightly thinner target, maybe the bullet would have missed her altogether.
