This is the third this week. Still sticking to your lame story?
The dogs were watching and apparently one of the dogs thought she had attacked their owner.
Prayers for all.
The reason why I have a Pit bull that loves children is to make up for my... how do you say... err... ahh... physical short-comings.
As someone who has posted on various pit bull threads to indict the breed I would like to say that this appears to be about a dog being a dog. Others are welcome to disagree, but I do not believe this story advances the con argument.
The woman was on drugs and had five dogs, and the mother felt it necessary to defend her dogs! That is a great example of responsible dog ownership, right.
What’s worse, the news story quotes Dogsbite.org as a source, which is ridiculous. They purposely skew numbers (pit bulls are nowhere near only 5% of the dog population first of all) and the woman who runs that site was known by “bitbypit” a full year before she was supposedly attacked. She has also admitted to being mentally unstable in a way that directly affects her ability to behave rationally, making her one of the worst resources to use.
Dog bite fatalities are extremely rare, but because we now have the technology to view news from everywhere, the media reports make it seem like 30 people a year out of 300 million is somehow an epidemic. I would love to see less fatalities, less attacks. But the fact of the matter is that until people get their heads out of their butts and learn to do their own research, or at least admit that their emotional, ignorant beliefs are simply wrong, the wrong laws will continue to be passed, and morons will continue to treat their dogs like people, making change impossible.
