I’ve heard that when you eat dog it makes you feel all warm inside.

That's what we always called the Chinese restaurant when I was a kid, "
Hey, who wants to go to the Kitty Kat Buffet?"Never see any strays around there.

‘’I was just trying to explain a saying from where I come from about the eating of cats. In the 30s and 40s they were very popular.’’
According to a recent report, there are an estimated 44 million pets living in Italy, 7.5 million of them cats.
Despite their popularity, however, around 150,000 animals are abandoned each year by their owners and there are at least 73,000 annual reports of mistreatment or abuse.
This seems like a MODEST PROPOSAL

World Cat Day today? Who knew? I thought it was Ash Wednesday.
As a diet item, I’m sure it beats grass and leaves for nutritional value. During China’s Great Leap Forward in the Fifties, my relatives told me that after most of the animals were eaten, vegetation like the aforementioned was it.

When I read Corrie Ten Boom’s “The Hiding Place”, she talks about how their cat disappeared during WWII. She said, “In the winter of Holland’s hunger, not one cat or dog responded to my call”.
I still remember that line. It’s funny how death of a pet affects us. I mean, her father and several members of her family were murdered by the Nazis, and I remember the cat.
