Zsa Zsa Gabor's Husband To Run For Governor (California)

In another celebrity turn in California politics, Prince Frederic von Anhalt, the husband of actress Zsa Zsa Gabor, announced Tuesday that he's running for governor.

Anhalt said in a news release that he'll file papers with California's Secretary of State, announcing his intention to run as a Liberal Independent in the California race.

"We've had Irish-American, Armenian-American, and Austrian-American governors and now it's time for a German-American to lead the state," Anhalt said in a statement.

said he wants to legalize marijuana and tax it, open borders to Mexico for workers and tax them, adjust fees from the Department of Motor Vehicles, and promote natural gas and other alternative energy.

Anahlt said in a statement that he'd overturn Proposition 8 and lift the import ban on Cuban cigars.

"I will stay at home and promote California products. We have the best avocados, oranges, wine, weather, beaches and marijuana," Anhalt said in a statement.
