The owner should get worse.

This is why pit bulls are just wired differently than other dogs. It doesn’t stop attacking until over 1300 porcupine quills are in its face and chest.

I recommend bear spray. Empty the can, grab second can, repeat.

The most I ever dd was between 100 and 200 quills out of the mouth of a golden retriever. It was the iddle of the night, so no vet. Wooden dowel in the mouth, yank... yank...yank.

He learned. The most quills he ever got after that was a snoot-full of 10 or 20.

It’s when the dogs get really mad that they get the massive quill load. Pitbull roid rage and porcupines=disaster.

I have a boston terrier. She has been sprayed twice by the same skunk on my back deck!

I finally executed the skunk but I’m sure there would have been a third time.

The entire Pitt Bull breed should be EXTERMINATED. Anyone who thinks these animals are dogs, are full of you-know-what. These evil animals have no pain threshold. It’s clear by these photos that this evil animal continued his assault regardless, and I would not be surprised if the porcupine didn’t survive. People with pitt bulls who also have small children are placing their children’s lives in danger. These beasts can turn quite suddently and unexcectedly, no matter how “sweet they are”. You know why there are so many pitt bulls at animal shelters? Because their OWN owners become afraid of them. Pitt Bulls ARE NOT dogs and permits should be required to own them.

If they are not dogs what are they? Marsupials? Cetaceans? I am not a fan of the breed, but saying they are not dogs is quite a dollop of revisionism. I would not own a Pit or any of the over a dozen related species that look/act similar, but dogs they are indeed.

That looks more like a Bull Terrier than a Pit Bull.

Great analogy, similar to the Democrats attacking Sarah Palin.

These pics have been around the web for years now - it is not a pit bull either, it’s a bull terrier (see Spuds Mckenzie and George Patton). Some of the comments on this thread show that ignorance is curable, but stupidity is not.

It’s not a pit bull, it’s a bull terrier, a completely different breed. Someone else just mentioned their golden did the same thing. Some dogs have prey drive, some don’t. This past weekend my relatives had to bury their pet rabbit because their husky became interested in it. This kind of thing happens, and is certainly no reason to villify a breed of dog, IMO. The owner of this dog should be ashamed.
