Remarkably, no one was injured when a large part of the roof collapsed at the Rostraver Ice Garden in Westmoreland County Sunday afternoon.
It happened after one game ended and before the next youth hockey game started. No children were on the ice at the time of the collapse.
Had it happened during the game, there's no telling how many would have been injured or killed.
Me again. An employee heard the rafters (wood) cracking and they hustled everybody out of this ice rink. Not ten minutes later a 100 by 200 foot section of the roof right in the center of the ice collapsed.
Youth teams from the area, from Erie, and from Canada were here for a tournament.
Thank God no one was injured.
I must be a bit of a sibyl, since I saw this coming long ago:

you are a prophet!
I researched her a bit and suspect she is in favor of the health care bill......let’s hope she gets her signatures. he, he, he.........pass the popcorn if she does.
I saw that.......thought of xs and how she has been at her son’s hockey rink for years....very scary. Thank God no one was hurt.
do you two have your tinfoil hats on ?
I read some more and apparently it was even more miraculous. Some of the people (coaches and 7-8 year old players) were huddled in a corner of a locker room when the daylight opened up. Others were pushed by the rush of air towards glass doors that opened up by the wind.
Even the Zamboni driver (the only guy on the ice) was unhurt.
Every moment we live is by the grace of God, but sometimes it becomes more apparent.
Mostly I'm an emitter, not a receiver ... and you know that!
