Sukhoi T-50 PAK FA - the F-22 Raptor's nemesis

Although it has recently made its first flight, guess how long the Raptor would retain her crown as world's most dominant air superiority fighter when the PAK FA enters service as the Su-50 'Firefox'.

I'd guess pilot skill, avionics and weapons systems would determine the difference.

Later this decade, when these two 5th Gen fighters square off against one another, the PAK FA would be vying to snatch the crown off her American rival, the F-22.

What do you think?

There was an opportunity to make an ally out of Russia sitting there in 1990, and SlicKKK KKKlintler blew it by bombing a totally innocent Slavic Orthodox Christian nation (just like Russia) for 80 days and nights including Easter Sunday, to take that Juanita Broaddrick rape allegation off the front pages of our own newspapers.

I think, no matter how good the F22 is, we need many more of them than 187. The money wasted on Porkulus would have purchased many of them and accomplished something that Bozo hasn’t done yet: Created and saved jobs!(sarcasm duly noted).
WWII should have been all the lessons we ever needed on the importance of air superiority, but NO, we had to go through Vietnam also and still our leaders think we can get along with inferior fighters.

There is a lot more that goes on before fighters ever fight. Prepping the battlefield occurs for the Air Force too. As we have seen in Georgia, the Russian military is not prime time ready, but unlike the EU, there were able to drive there.

The USMC F-35B? Well maybe, but the Marines should be asked again whether they really want to be in an F-35B with Su-35S and PAK-FA’s in the airspace. Perhaps they would feel safer and more effective in an F-22A or F-22C fleet, as proposed last year by APA4.

Someone remind Wing Commander Chris Mills (RAAF, retired) that a navalized version of the F-22, which does not exist, cannot operate from the deck of a LHA or LHD.
