This drivel is getting old, and entirely unoriginal. Most of the beings that populate Hollywood are several bubbles off plumb at a minimum; some are amusingly so while others are completely off the scale in terms of raging insanity. Mel’s not the worst of the lot, despite the anti-Semitic ravings while hammered on booze. At least he apologized, while the Penns, Robbins’s and other trash of their ilk believe they’re actually helping things with their active, sober anti-Semitism disguised as liberalism.
Film critics, like moviemakers, are largely bereft of originality and creativity, which is why “reviews” like this keep getting replicated even though once around takes away all the punch for all time.
By the way, the movie is terrific and deserves a couple of screenings to appreciate it all.
I remember Gibson in an interview when The Passion came out. He mentioned that you do not make a movie about the Passion and not get some of it handed to you.
The demons have been after that guy for some time. I heard a brief trailer of the movie and he even had lines that refereed to the passion.
I think it was, "You are either the person hammering in the nails or the one getting the nails hammered into you.
Don’t you wish the critics like this A hole would just critic the movie on it’s own merits and not give us a re run of Mel’s life mistakes. I know tons of people that have gotten DUIs in their life and even some that do not like Jews so Mel is entitled to make his own mistakes without some idiot thinking his readers will think him a genius for citing them in a movie critique.
