Agreed. Dress him up in a tux, and he's still coarse and common. Not even the worse of the former Bonds -- even Roger Moore and Timothy Dalton were better Bonds, heaven help us!
He's the wrong guy for the part.
That's what I like about him, especially the former. That and his very thinly-veiled brutality. The real James Bond could maybe be suave with the ladies, but he would NOT be a nice guy.
