He's an overgrown pup, friendly, and quite affectionate, but the last time I returned him I had the "talk" with his owners about their neglect.
Kill an animal when you need to, not before.
I know that sounds harsh of me - just the thought of the poor child, and the suffering she went through, was heart rending. Most loose dogs are okay - except when they get in a pack - but you never know. Around here in my rural area, if a loose dog enters your property, you are entirely within rights to kill it, if you think it may harm you, your pets or livestock.
Dogs do incredible damage to livestock - gang up and kill and maul any kind of animals, even cows and horses, when in packs. THey don’t kill to eat, but just for the sake of killing.
People who own dogs should always carefully control them. Even nice dogs can all of a sudden bite people.
