HUNTSVILLE, Ala. (AP) - A woman opened fire during a biology faculty meeting at the University of Alabama's Huntsville campus Friday, killing three people and injuring three others, officials said. The shooter was caught outside the Shelby Center, a science building, without incident, according to university spokesman Ray Garner. Local media reported the shooter was a faculty member, though Garner said he could not identify her. A man was also being detained.
All three of those killed and two of the injured were faculty members. The third injured person was a staff member. No students were involved in the shooting.
Huntsville Hospital spokesman Burr Ingram said two of the injured were in critical condition and the third was in stable condition.
Nick Lawton, the son of a biology professor at the school, said his father was not among the victims, but he did not know much more.

According to the streamer along the bottom of the screen on FNC, the shooter was a member of the biology department who had just been denied tenure...she had a Ph.D. from Harvard.
Wow! Wasted talent!
Other online sources identify the shooter as Dr. Amy Bishop, and say that she joined the faculty there in 2003—so this would have been the time she would come up for tenure. Police also detained her husband.
Wow! Wasted talent!
Probably not. Just a wasted AA slot at Harvard.
Is she African American?
Okay, got my question answered.

Well, that really added to the story. Nice reporting AP.
Probably not. This is probably some unhinged white woman. AA for women to increase their “representation” is rampant, particularly after Larry Summers suggested a few years ago that perhaps it’s normal not to have very many women in science...
Now, she’s evidently proven why she wasn’t given tenure.
Showed the page you linked to to my husband
He says she should have gone after her hairdresser too
(He’s sooo bad!!)
LOL! Bwaaaaaaaaahahahahahaha!
