Lindsay Lohan is in the news again, and this time she's posing as Jesus Christ on the Spring-Summer 2010 cover of Purple Fashion magazine. (published in France - oh don't you just love the French!) This girl seems to invite criticism and controversy into her life every way possible.
Lindsay Lohan was once known as an aspiring actress and a singer, now she is known as a drunkard and a lesbian - but I guess that just wasn't enough.
In case you don't see the resemblence in the picture, or think "Certainly that is not who she is imitating", upon closer inspection you may notice an imitation crown of thorns upon her delicate brow.
Bill Donohue, head of the Catholic League, told Politics Daily: "Not only is the pose inappropriate, the timing is offensive." ...

Sick.
I’ve had her in the death pool for 2 years.
(And I too loved her in Parent Trap. What a beautiful child.)
I have a feeling that not many people around here would have ever seen this silly French fashion magazine anyway.
You've got to just let these little people do what they do and move on. When it comes down to it, free speech is free speech. It ain't against the law to insult a whole bunch of people. And these guys have to try and sell their magazine. I'm just not sure that THIS battle is worth fighting.
But yet you said,
” Take care of your own house and stop worrying about everyone else. This does not hurt any religion. It just offends those who are easily offended.”
Apparently you didn’t like what I had to say. How would you like it if she had posed as the Prophet Mohammed? Or as mocking the Holocaust? Would you support that?
You are correct that “not everyone believes what they believe.” This is about respecting other peoples’ beliefs. Mocking the Lord Jesus Christ is blasphemous, and the people who carried out this stunt are the ones who are hurt.
“But if you don’t believe in something then why not insult it?”
Do you not see that mocking peoples’ religious beliefs is disrespectfully insulting them?
Oh yes, she would be killed for that.
As for Mohammed, I wouldn't waste 30 seconds thinking about that abomination. People are too scared to say anything bad about 'him' but that's their own problem.
All that being said, I did have an issue with what Larry David did to Jesus last season. A big problem.
You said, “As for Mohammed, I wouldn’t waste 30 seconds thinking about that abomination.”
Then why not hold Christianity to the same standard? See what I mean?
Every other faith is given the free pass, but when it comes to Christianity, it’s last acceptable prejudice. You just simply proved my point.
While I will openly speak out against Muhammed, I would never do that to Christianity or its followers. But I'm not Lindsey Lohan.
All religion is not created equal. Same with countries. And forms of gov't, etc...
