My mistake, I misunderstood.
Yes, as a software designer... the interface that is most efficient usually has a higher learning curve.
Often it can be good to have an “intutive” interface to make the sale, and then an efficient interface for folks who know what they are doing.
If we get the lurkers to register & make just ONE post... and maybe if we do not pour gasoline on them... maybe more will stick around.
If that is what we want....
There used to be a thread called, “HTML Bootcamp” that would pop up from time to time. Basic HTML commands were posted to encourage intimidated lurkers to register and post. I’ll do a search to see if one’s been done lately...
