Emmy-winning actor Alec Baldwin was rushed to a Manhattan hospital early Thursday after a girl thought to be his daughter called 911 saying he was “unresponsive.”
Paramedics rushed the “30 Rock” star from his Central Park West apartment to Lenox Hill Hospital with his consent about 12:10 a.m., authorities said. Baldwin remained at the hospital for more than an hour before he was released.
A law enforcement official told The Associated Press that Baldwin and his 14-year-old daughter Ireland had argued and she told a 911 operator her father threatened to take pills.
“This was a misunderstanding on one person’s part,” the star’s rep, Matthew Hiltzik, said in a statement Thursday. “Alec was quickly released from the hospital, he’s completely fine and will be at work today.”
Ireland and her father have had a rocky relationship, but were said to have reconciled after a voicemail he left calling her a “rude, thoughtless little pig” was made public in 2007.

PLAYBOY: Will you run for office?
BALDWIN: I’ll put it this way. The desire is there; that’s one component. The other component is opportunity. A law firm in a liberal Democratic bastion in Ohio state politics sent me a binder with a cover letter that read, “Mr. Baldwin, here’s who we represent, the kinds of cases we handle, our credentials in Ohio state politics. We want you to move to Ohio and run for governor. We will launch your career.”
PLAYBOY: Could you live in Ohio?
BALDWIN: I have sometimes thought I could move to New Jersey or Connecticut and run. I’d love to run against Joe Lieberman. I have no use for him. But it’s all fantasy. I’m a carry-me-out-in-a-box New Yorker. Here, anything can happen.
Im a carry-me-out-in-a-box New Yorker.
Alec could you put that in writing and will that box arrive any time soon?
