Yup.
Maybe Google hasn't heard of movie streaming. I do that all the time, without even bothering to download anything. Why download when you can stream?

Cause I like watching my movies at 1080p, just try streaming that on current networks.

It would also be helpful for true cloud computing. Soon we’ll be able to pay a monthly rate to own a virtual computer that would be continuously upgraded. For someone like me who upgrades my computer and software every few months, this would be a godsend. If I want to play the latest game, I wouldn’t have to buy a new video card but instead play it from Google’s supercomputer.

Why download when you can stream?

As far as a network is concerned, they are the exact same thing. The only difference is whether you store it or not.
