Thank you for the post. It’s thought-provoking. How do you feel that an EMP attack would hamper response to an attack on Israel ? NORAD and current contingency plans have already accounted for this. NORAD and our own ICBMs don’t care about EMP-based first strike.

The response of our President, however..... Now I see a problem. A US targetting EMP is unnecessary. Obama is Iran’s best defense against US intervention.

Good point on the continued ability of the military to act. However, envision a scenario where the EMP event so disrupts our civilian communication infrastructure that Obama, with the benefit of no news, no internet, with roving bands of dislocated people just looking food and shelter, etc., acts with complete impunity, no oversight whatsoever, to throw Israel under the bus. Not to mention what it does to empower his government to exert absolute control over the people here.
