In terms of chronology yes, but stylistically no. Many of the songs by the Who have a timeless quality (at least in terms of rock music), and sound like they could have been written yesterday. My 16-year-old daughter became aware of some of the music from the Who via the TV show CSI, and she was amazed to learn that the song “Who are You” (which she loves) was written a little over 30 years ago, and Baba O’Riley was written almost 40 years ago.
