I didn’t notice his final line (that’s good though!), but the performance was great. Right out of my era, it’s unbelievable they were able to put on a show for that duration of time, without looking all cra**ed out.
What does that say about today’s music when we have to go back to the early 70’s to dredge up ‘The Who’. At least the Rolling Stones had some other hit songs scattered through several decades. Concerts now are so much about the
visual gimmicks, stage theatrics etc... the music suffers from it! IMO.
I liked it and so did my 19 year old son. :-) Of course they do not sound like they did when we were rockin, but I give them credit for actually singing. Poor Daltry was winded towards the end.
We are all getting older. I watched an ‘oldies’ show on PBS. Eric Burdon had the whole tropical thing goin’ on. He was dressed like Jimmy Buffet’s father.
Regardless, it is good to go down Memory Lane. Did you ever think we would look back at the 60’s and say “Life was so much simpler then.”
