Folks that are griping about the Who's live performance just are griping to be griping. Ever hear Live at Leeds? Woodstock? I would not consider either one of those performances stellar. When one goes to a live performance, one should not expect a perfect rendition of the artists work. Shoot, Taylor Swift is another example...live at the Grammys she sucked big time. Her studio albums are fine. There are other performers that nail the performance every time. The Beatles at Shea Stadium sucked, but it was live....

Too many of the young folks haven't a clue on a live performance excellence. Glenn Miller, Count Basie, Bob Wills, Woody Herman, and even Lawrence Welk put on good live shows but that was another genre and another era when the artists had to get it right the first time. The Kingston Trio was another excellent live act. I am just saying, cut Pete and Roger some slack. They are not the same without Entwistle and Moon but the nostalgia was there. No one can dispute the studio albums excellence. I was happy to see them perform..it may be the last time we see them...they are not youngsters.
