Medical bills and layoffs recently forced both men into the woods, where they met and discovered a mutual passion.
Pastor Scott Billue of Next Community Church heads an organization called Matthews Hope. They offer shelter to the homeless on cold nights, and it was on one of those nights that he discovered a musical talent that until now had been hidden.
A few weeks later, Pastor Billue invited John and Butch to be the opening act of a fundraising concert at the Garden Theater in Winter Garden.
They called themselves The Boys in the Woods.

I have the soundtrack to that movie. Some good bluegrass on it.

Low-hanging fruit.

"Some good bluegrass on it."That is an understatement! Among others, it had tracks by Emmylou Harris and Alison Krauss. And Dan Tyminiski made George Clooney a famous singer.

They do sound good. John has a finger picking style and Butch is a strummer so there is some body to their music.

What? There are NEVER any “homeless” during a ‘rat administration. I guess the new template is that deep down they must be creative. /sarcasm...just sayin’

I'm afraid the title makes me think of the the "dueling banjos" theme in Deliverance.

That movie kind of made into a theme song. Catchy, but not played much anymore for some odd reason. Kind of like one of those Debussy-era piano pieces that got used in too many PSA’s about cancer, Alzheimers, and venereal diseases.
