Zero isn’t worthy of licking the bottom of Reagan’s shoes nor are Pelosi and Reid. Zero, Pelosi, Reid et al., American traitors who have disgraced our heritage.

Fabulous! It's very well done.

Please also see this article about the speech his son Michael gave last night.

As I was watching his speech for a few moments I just felt overwhelmed by the loss of this man. I was just a kid/young-man (just entering college) when he was President, and my political views weren’t fully formed. I was surrounded by libtards back then, but I knew after watching Reagan that this was a man worthy of respect, and that his political beliefs were worth a deeper look.

He was so consistent in his words and deeds. He brought a confidence to the world, because you knew that the adults were in charge. I think back on that now and I believe this is because he was a man of exemplary character who truly believed in his policies, and who was unfailing in his devotion to his country.

I look at where we are at now, and I wonder why we can’t have a leader like this again. Are they all gone? Are we doomed to slide into mediocrity at the hands of bumbling fools and silver-tongued dictators? I look at the political landscape these days and I can’t identify one person who is even close to a Reagan or Thatcher caliber leader.

I think maybe we are going about this the wrong way. Many of us put our support behind a political party. These parties are run by the same sort of buffoons that have put us where we are today, and I think to a large part these buffoons are the ones selecting the party nominees.

Maybe instead we need to identify a person who has the right character and leadership qualities, and then convince that person to run for President (because I think these sorts of people don’t naturally gravitate torwards politics). Then throw all our support behind them, and to heck with the Repubican Party and whatever Bush or McCain or other giant douche they have nominated.
