While there are more that I like, I probably just have three favorites:
Sam Cooke
Nat King Cole
Neil Diamond
I also like Chris Tomlin a lot.

“You are sooooo right. This guy was stars above Presley!!!”
I heard someone slam him once because his voice was “too operatic for rock and roll” and thought I would laugh my ass off...the sweetest duet ever was that version of Crying” he did with kd lang, too...but is there a more classic song than “Pretty Woman?” The version on Black and White Night is really great;

The solos half way through are unbelievable, a wholle other thread on rock and roll films like this and Last Waltz; but the song is a classic.

Cat Stevens has a tremendous tome...Even as Yusuf Islam!
He would definitely be in my top 20.

Steve Lippa who some may say is a Sinatra impersonator but he sounds like Frankie in the 1940s and 1950s when his voice was the best. Night & Day stands out.

My cable has a 1940’s music station. I really enjoy hearing him croon with some of the Big Band women singers. I’m a Boomer, but I really do think he is the best male pop singer.

Probably could consider Elton John and Michael Jackson. While they often did not LOOK like male artists, they might be considered decent musicians with “top ten” credentials.

How about some online links to some favorite songs by favorite singers in such threads?
