LOL, BS. My ancestors arrived by boat and we all lived happily ever after in New York eating corned beef and cabbage and drinking beer on St Patty's day which is of course an American holiday as is the corned beef part of corned beef and cabbage.

And just to keep it real here for the challenged I was being facetious about the insult thing.

Go to Ireland and ask for corned beef. After you have returned, log on to FR, put ‘jla’ in the To: cell and type: You were right, jla.

P.S. I believe I read once that Irish, after coming to America, ate it a/c of it being relatively inexpensive.
But it is not eaten in Ireland.
