“Attempted insults” is right. Most of the Lost Causers seem to occupy a level of wit that makes Larry the Cable Guy sound like part of the Algonquin Round Table. The non-sensical, bubba hoe temp version of the Algonquin Round Table is commonly know as the Circle Jerk.
