I use firefox and love it.
Do it.
You won’t be sorry.
Firefox is excellent. You can also get rid of Adobe. Foxit is faster and better PDF reader.
What operating system are you using? In Vista, most stuff sucks.
IE is the preferred browser of hackers and virus planters because of percentage of use and knowledge base.
I’ve been using Firefox for more than a year and have not had any problems.
Firefox. Love it!
Guess I’m an IE luddite. I have Firefox and Google chrome on the computer but stick with what I know best.
i’ve used firefox since the beginning,
but now dislike it.
the last 3 versions on win 7 crash.
I like Firefox, although lately, it seems to crash more than it used to. I also have Opera and I’m really liking it.
Firefox is more user friendly and has less “issues”, IMO
Firefox is great, and customizable. But it’s a bit of a memory hog; I run 3gigs DDR2.
I use them both at the same time. IE is slower and locks up.
First off, DUMP WINDOWS, Install Linux, I prefer Ubuntu. Never ever use IE, only use Mozilla Firefox, Use Mozilla Thunderbird for Email also, 95% to 100% of all your Computer problems will disappear immediately. If you absolutely have to use winblows then install Virtual Box (free) and then only use winblows for the programs you absolutely have to use it for. You will not be Disappointed.
Another vote for firefox.
FRiend, I’ve been running Firefox for years, and trust it. Although, some of the other posters are correct; newer versions are using more memory, and are crashing more often...still, it beats IE by a ton. Also, take a look at Opera and Google Chrome. I don’t trust google, so I don’t use it but I have many friends who do and like it.
I love Firefox, especially the addons like Noscript and Adblock.
I can block all the annoying ads that flash and distract and take time loading.
After I switched to Firefox about 7 years ago, I stopped getting viruses and spyware. That pretty much sums it up.
On Windows and Linux, I use Firefox, and it seems to do a fine job.
Google Chrome is out there, but I just can't get past Google's outright, contractual censorship in China, probable censorship / biasing here in the US, sickening slobbering love for Obama, and general growing omnipotence on the web. (Don't get me wrong, Apple isn't great either, it's a matter of degree.) I hope others pick on on the technical innovations introduced in Chrome, though.
I’ve tried Firefox a couple time, and go back to IE because of those sites that are IE dependent and can’t run on Firefox.
You can easily try Firefox and go back to IE if you don’t like it.
As for safer, depends on whether you're savvy enough to turn off Java and install the Adblock Plus and Noscript addons.
