CBSNEWS anchorwoman and 60 MINUTES contributor Katie Couric faces a dramatic pay cut at the network, insiders tell the DRUDGE REPORT.
CBS boss Les Moonves is determined to save money and trim expenses -- from top to bottom -- at the former crown jewel of broadcasting.
$300,000 a week; $14,000,000 a year.
I’ve been wondering all along about how this goes down w/ fired seeBS’ers.
They should cut the entire news division and out source it to Fox News.
Sorry, did a search and didn’t see it.
Oh, waaaaaaah
Oh no, where’s my hankie...I need to have a good cry!/end gay routine.
How’s that Hope & Change working for you Katie?
Can’t C-BS “news” save some money by playing re-runs of the news??
It’s all the same BS anyhow.
I had forgotten she made more than Dan Rather at his peak. Stunning that these people are paid such salaries just to read the news, while millions of talented, dedicated Americans are losing jobs and hope every week.
Wish I could get her “reduced” pay - pretty good for reading a script and adding asinine comments.
I’m sure she has a tidy amount in savings and therefore she’ll be fine! My preference to a paycut is the “screen door on the ass”...but I’m happy to start anywhere!
Ah. So Couric will finally see her lifelong dream of "Equal pay for equal work" realized.
I wonder if the “NAGs” (NAtional organization of Gals, as Rush calls them) will be outraged that the female anchor is the one being told to take such a big pay cut.
I guess Katie cannot buy herself a new Volvo every year anymore like Cokie Roberts.
Amen! How did the news media ever get in such a situation? Perhaps when they quit being reporters and became activists? And it’s working out so well for them, I am encouraged!
Nobody overvalues liberals more than themselves.
I’d like to see posted the money those guilty white liberals in hollywood make.......
Her pay should reflect her ratings.
