The scene between Ben and Ilana is probably one of my favorite scenes of the whole Lost series. It was quite touching. And the acting... oh my gosh, Emerson is amazing.

Yes, yes and yes! Emerson will be nominated for another Emmy for that performance, or something's just not right in the world. Some of my favorite LOST scenes had life breathed into them by Michael Emerson. Two others that come immediately to mind are when Alex was shot, and when Ben turned the frozen donkey wheel. The Ilana and Ben scene tops both of those. The next day, all I had to do was think about that scene and my eyes would well up.

It’s amazing that we the audience can muster so much empathy for him... he is a murderer how many times over. He murdered one of our favorite Losties, and yet, we want to forgive him, we want him redeemed!
