“2009 Dad of the Year”

Wasn’t John Edwards the “Dad of the Year 2008”?
I don’t want to even know who was 2007 winner..

England is vulnerable on their backside, Rio Ferdinand is not the player he was and their goalie is no great shakes, so I think the US will have chances to score on them.

Our problem is going to be stopping Wayne Rooney, he was scary good yesterday against Arsenal.

John Terry’s wife ‘wants divorce’
http://www.telegraph.co.uk/sport/7125565/John-Terrys-wife-wants-divorce.html

Toni Poole, 28, has been left “humiliated” after details surfaced of her husband’s affair with Vanessa Perroncel, the former girlfriend of his England team-mate Wayne Bridge.

She flew out to the Gulf state on Saturday night after telling Terry, 29, that their three-year marriage was over, The Sun reported.

It comes amid claims that Terry had paid for Miss Perroncel, a lingerie model, to have an abortion after she allegedly became pregnant.

Friends claimed that the news was the final straw for Miss Poole.

Rooney got a red card in the last World Cup. He seems liable to self destruct also.

Sounds like a real class act, from his wiki page:

” in September 2001 Terry was fined two weeks wages by Chelsea after drunkenly harassing grieving American tourists in the immediate aftermath of the September 11 attacks.”

England teams hardly win anything, regardless of the sport, even sports that they themselves invented. Soccer, rugby, cricket, all dominated by other countries.

Heck, you still hear the English sports fans waxing poetic about the year 1966, since that is the only time they won anything in a soccer tournament.

I don't expect anything to be different this time around.
