Well I am not good hearted. I am a grumpy, ILL-tempered, carved-in-stone arch conservative. I personally find homosexuals to be a noisome and foul lot with habits that make me sick. That being said, God is still working on me.

I’m not worried that the REAL men in the military can handle themselves quite nicely. The ONLY true concern I have is for the long-term health of our soldiers and sailors. We ask an awful lot of them and they VOLUNTEER to do it. We do NOT have the right, before the Lord our GOD, to ask THIS of them.

I couldn’t give a rat’s a$$ if this offends them. They made the choice to behave as they do, so must accept those consequences. What they WANT is the right to infect everyone else, and right now, it is our heroes. And THAT, I cannot condone. It bothers the HELL out of me that not ONE high profile 6talking head or politician is reminding the country of this particular problem, even the military higher-ups. And THEY should know better.

Well I am not good hearted. I am a grumpy, ILL-tempered, carved-in-stone arch conservative. .

Except for the first part (I do consider myself good hearted, as I want the very best for all human beings and would love nothing more than to see homosexuals accept Christ as their savior), it appears we have something in common (if you need references, ask my wife).

I’m not worried that the REAL men in the military can handle themselves quite nicely.

Agreed; but why take their minds off their job by making our military some kind of "social experiment"?

In addition to your very legitimate concern of infection (by the way, you do know that homosexuals cannot donate blood due to their disease ridden lifestyle), implementing a pro-homosexual plan in the military will:

•devastate morale and unit cohesion in our Armed Forces;

•lead to a drop in enlistment and retention of good soldiers -- and discourage religious men and women of high moral character from seeking military service;

•violate the privacy concerns of normal (straight) servicemembers: will new 'Gays-Only' showers be constructed at all U.S. bases?;

•ultimately subject millions of small-town, traditionally-minded recruits to pro-homosexual 'diversity' training that undermines historic Judeo-Christian teachings;

•further alienate the United States from a Muslim world that already regards us as a decadent nation.

"This anti-military, left-wing policy misadventure must be stopped in its tracks by the American people standing up and shouting a collective 'NO!' to the Democratic/Obama plan to homosexualize the military.

Here is a link to a document by Lieutenant colonel R.L. VanAntwerp, United States Army, entitled "The Greatest Threat...Spiritual Decay".; I think you and your husband would enjoy reading immensely. It gives us a true perspective about not only the founding of our country, but the tradition of the military as well.
