If this issue has already been addressed; my apology. I did a search for the subject, but found nothing.
Is anyone else having problems accessing Free Republic lately? Ever since the SOTU address, it's been almost impossible to access the site. Usually, I just get sent back to my orginal website instantly. At other times, after a several minute delay, I'll get a "connection could not be made/server proxy error; site down for maintenance or heavy traffic.
I don't think it's a problem with my computer because I can get to any other site in a snap.
Same here, frustrating!
Yep. Been getting “proxy errors”.
Indeed.
I am glad that I saw this. I was about to un-install/re-install my Firefox browser. Yesterday, I couldn’t even log on to the main address. I at least feel better knowing I wasn’t the only one having problems.
After careful analysis I have concluded that this is Bush’s fault...
We must be hurting Obama IF it is a DOS attack. I know the left would like to silence FR.
Did you just say that when I post to FR, I’m posting through homeland security’s office first?
That would be news to me.
BUSH’S FAULT
Yep, here in Dallas, Texas having issues opening the site for the past couple of weeks.
I notice when Free Republic wont load, and also gun forums wont load, that it seems to be hung up on Googleanalytics. Site pages wont load and pictures of guns wont load here, it is always hung up on googleanalytics.
I figured the traffic to the site was heavy.....All others work fine....
Yes! server over load I would suspect. When something breaks we head HERE, not our TV’s or radios.
I just thought it was Comcasts usual crappy service.
Just wondering if anyone can suggest other conservative like-thinking sites. I’m sure there are a few.
Thanks.
Yep, same issues here. Super slow.
Thats what the Citizen United case was about in a way. Free Republic is an LLC and if corporations can’t spend a dime advocating for candidates even in books, films, Kindle downloads..... you can bet talk radio and the internet would have been next.
