And if I remember correctly that was on first down so the Saints still might have done something there to get into field goal range anyway.

Or they might have turned the ball over to the Vikings on a fumble or an interception.

Yea and Mary L. paid the 12th man in the vikings huddle too.
Big pay day for Favre for throwing the interception afterward as well. Please.

“...Or scored a touchdown. It’s what Brees had been doing all year....”

Didn’t work that way against Dallas did it?

My how sour are the grapes, this morning. I had Brees as my quarterback in Fantasy Football. The man gave me a whole lot of points. He is a superstar!

Hey, make no mistake, I hope the Saints win the SB. I really do. They are a solid team and matches up well against the Colts. It will be a great game. I just can’t deal with the thought of Peyton winning this one and Eli winning the next one. That would be a nausiating trend. I’m a Cowboys fan and was just ribbing Brees. Being a Dallas fan, I’ve got to pull for the NFC rep this year. I have nothing against the Saints. SB XLIV should be fun to watch.

BTW, a little Super Bowl trivia. This will mark the first time in SB history that two teams that play in enclosed stadiums will meet for the Vincent T. Lobardi Trophy.

Clearly a facemask against Aaron Rogers in the final play of the Packers/Cardinals game. Had that been called, the play would have been dead and Azizona would not have scored...at least on that play. Hard to not have sour grapes when it was that obvious....

But having N.O. in the superbowl after Katrina will be such a feel good story.

Yeah, it's kinda' like the Cheatriots being the "NFL's blessed golden child" in the 2001-2002 season after 9/11...Look at that convoluted "tuck rule" thingy the NFL pulled out of their arse!

No matter who your favorite team is, it has to be nice to be one of the NFL hierarchy's "most favored teams".

"Didn’t work that way against Dallas did it?"

Didn't have too.

Saints are going to the Super Bowl and Cowboys and Vikings are staying home where they deserve to be.

Please don't let me start ragging on Dallas or their fans as I have done all my life.

After the Viking loss, most of them have become the worst sports fans in the nation.

And I always thought it was the Cowboys.
