I came of age during the punk era and I turned out okay even though that was Satanic, too. Every generation says that about the younger generation’s music and every generation thinks that their younger generation is so much “worse” than the one before. My grandparents thought Elvis was sent from Satan. Turns out, he was a nice Christian boy. Heck, I still listen to punk, about half of it Christian.

That's a myth concocted to make people accept the trashy, morally subversive pop culture of today. Go back to the music of the 20s and 30s. You won't find Bing Crosby or Louis Armstrong glamorizing drugs (although LA used marijuana), using profanity, slandering their country, going nude on stage, or imitating sexual movements in their acts. There is nothing in our history remotely comparable to what is commonplace in entertainment today. It's a race to the bottom with today's so-called "artists."
The whole premise of the video's narrative consists of the battle between good and evil, with evil winning out. The "pure and innocent" Lady Gaga (dressed in white) gets force-fed vodka-potion by fallen angels and enters the "bad side" (she then dresses in black) wins out...
And that's just the beginning. The video was rich with symbolism and other references. Not your average pop video.
