Except for all the subsidised rentals and many 20-30 YO still living at home. Hell here in Texas if they were to tax each can of beer 10 cents each it would be way enough to pay for the schools.
With a sales tax everyone would have to pay, not just property owners. Illegals would have to pay for the schools they use.
