Charles Augusto Jr., speaks out about defending his life and property against thugs

The 72-year-old man turned his 12-gauge shotgun on four armed bandits who tried to rob his restaurant supply store in Harlem Thursday, according to New York City police. And he is a good shot, too. He killed two and wounded the others, police said.

Most excellent, Mr. Charles Augusto Jr., for not falling to the victim mentality of so many others...

IIRC, in the NYTimes article on this event, the shotgun had lain unused
for decades.
But it worked when it was needed.
(My luck, the shotgun wouldn’t have gone off due to expired shotshells!)

I have that one, as well as my all-time favorite pump gun.
I believe that the pump version is a model 3000

My favorite Pump is the Remington model 87. Great gun, comparatively cheap and works every time. I need to get another one though as I sold my last one a few years ago(some times we all do something stupid).

87 or did you mean 870?
Yep. Remington makes great pumps.
I have one of the last 870’s made in .28GA

Based on the story, two aren’t thinking at all these days (they’re dead).
By the way, my home protection gun is an Ithaca Police Special M-87, short barrel and pistol grip. Flechette and Federal Black Cloud ammo.

The two surviving members I like that lead in to the story. Not to make light of a tragedy, but I guess we're all on the same page here.
I trust the other two pled "guilty" as well, in the Ultimate Court.
