“Sure, robot groundhogs, then `Skynet and the next thing
you know were greeting our groundhog Overlords.”
I, for one welcome our new robotic groundhog overlords.
This is pitiful. A thousand people freezing their butts off waiting to worship a rat. What a hype. Groundhog Day used to mean something in this town. They used to pull the hog out, and they used to eat it. You’re hypocrites, all of you!
Phil would then get free ,clean needles and some Head Start for his babymomma’s little groundhogs.
Roger that!
Morons, your bus is leaving.
Actually, Phil lives on one side of a public park in downtown “Punxsy” that is an entire block square. His “den” has a picture window overlooking the park that is covered with ancient maple trees surrounding a stone bandstand, which itself is bordered by sidewalks and park benches meandering through old cannons.
Many residents of the area don’t live quite as securely as Phil does, let alone their children. I’m sure many of them would rather see PETA focus their efforts towards the demise of the handful of interests who strangle the community’s efforts at any development and the lack of good jobs locally, than pleading the case of an over abundant mammal who is pretty much considered at least a nuisance by everybody who has ever been exposed to them at any length of time.
“old cannons” ? sounds very scary and militaristic.
Poor Phil is probably terrified.
He should be surrounded by soothing music, organinc incense and vegan-operated neighborhood cooperatives selling only ‘fair trade’ products made by indigenous, union, transgendered pygmies.

6 more weeks of winter for the lower 48 maybe but if I remember right in the last decade every time Phil gives that forecast we have a mild brief winter in Alaska.
