I agree, myself, looking at it from a tactical and survival standpoint, like the idea of North Conway, NH, near the white Mountains.

It’s somewhat secluded, not near any major airports, and most importantly, it has very few main roads going into the area, which allows you to monitor who goes in and out.

There’s plenty of wildlife in the surrounding forests for hunting, a source of clean fresh water with the Sacco River, and plenty of open spaces to live and wood for heat.

They do get quite a bit of snow, but if you’re a native New Englander this isn’t an issue, it can actually help since it will reduce the amount of people trying to get into the area.

Since there is also a lack of the entitlement class up there, there’s less chance of riots and looters, you’re going to get more of a well armed and ready group being that is it New Hampshire.

So I feel like it wouldn’t be a bad place to e during a SHTF moment.

Read the book “One Second After”. It puts it in perspective for you. If the SHTF, being a days drive from a major population center (or even more) will not put you out of harm’s way. In fact people think those in these rural areas have food and water. What do city dwellers know anyway? Also don’t kid yourself that “there is plenty of game here” to survive on. The disappearance of wild game happens amazingly fast and can’t sustain that many people. Best to stock up on food and ammo (1500 rounds of ammo is nice but not enough) and get a militia group together.
