I cannot recall an Apple product announcement at the Apple campus in the last twenty years. . . so Enderle, as usual, is wrong. Apple has usually made their announcements at Macworld or... at the Yerba Buena Conference Center. . . just where this one is being made.

The "Enderle Group" is composed of Rob Enderle and his wife. . . she answers the "group's" phone. . .


I don't know who the Enderle's are - and I think it's nice that they're running their own business - but you're absolutely right. The original iPod was introduced in Cupertino, but it was not considered very important at the time - most of Apple's big product announcements have taken place in San Francisco, either at MacWorld or more recently at their own Apple press events.

He is a long-time industry analyst with an equally long history of being very negative about Apple and of being very wrong in his predictions. He also tends to play very loose with the facts, as is the case here.

Yes, it's good he runs a business, but it's just funny how he uses the important-sounding "Enderle Group" when it's really just him typing on a keyboard.
