EDEN PRAIRIE, Minn. Brett Favre and the Minnesota Vikings have begun their offseason sooner than they hoped.
The question now is whether Favre will be around when next season starts.
Players gathered at the practice facility on Monday for the final team meeting in the aftermath of their devastating NFC championship game loss at New Orleans the night before.
Several Vikings said the overtime defeat hurt worse the day after.

Or Tebow reuniting with Percy Harvin.
Smile for the birdies Kurt.
He’s a gamer and a half.. for all the protection the rules provide for the QBs, they still get popped real good.
Agree, he is a “gamer and a half”.
“Smile for the birdies”. LOL.
David did that for most of his career in Houston. Poor guy.
David = David Carr
He'll be back.
The Vikings will draft third from last (unless they trade up). Tebow will be long gone to Tampa Bay by then.
I think Tebow will be glad to go wherever he is wanted. ;o)
Vikings are the best team in the NFC. We totally outplayed N.O. yesterday.
If BF stays healthy we’ll have a chance next season too. Favre’s toughness was inspiring.
Can holding on to the ball be taught?( RE: A.P.)
With Romo gone next year from the Cowboys, maybe Jerry can do some horse trading for Tebow.
Only after he retires and changes his mind a few times.
and as a jet.
Carr may have won some interest from clubs, he actually looked half-decent for the Giants when he played this season.
I'm sure Sears will milk that for all it's worth.
Hope Carr does find a team. And one with some offense to protect him.
You arrived at the same decision that Ted Thompson did two years ago.
The Vikings are a team with very good talent on defense and offense that have not reached their potential yet. If you keep the old quarterback, when they reach that potential you will likely be breaking in a rookie QB. Better to punt, draft a young QB and let him grow with the rest of the team....just like the Packers chose to do.
Tebow is no immediate answer for any team. He has a heart of gold but his throw his fundamentally flawed(interceptions galore). He will need a lot of work and growth.
I say he goes to Jacksonville second round.
Exactly what position do you play for the Vikings?
And Algore got more popular votes...what's your point?
LOL.
The stats you are looking at don’t tell the whole story.

Trophy presentation was awesome.
The best two teams of the season are going to the Super Bowl.
Should be a great game and I bet it will be one of the most viewed SB’s ever.
You think he will play for hometown? Interesting. Can sure happen.
Something tells me he will be shipped up to snow bound country.
For a Rookie, Sanchez made a big impact this year in the league.
Was a great game to watch.
