Yes, they were..I might add “Wagon Train” to that mix. One of my early favorites. It was around before Bonanza. Pernell Roberts was my favorite guy. He was “the Man” on the show.

It was a better, simpler time.
Well, at least as I remember it...
(And in this PC age, I’ve heard that “Have Gun Will Travel” doesn’t
get aired even on cable because “it’s too violent”. Funny, I don’t
recall Richard Boone throwing as much lead as Jack Bauer!)
