Frankly it's pretty amazing that there has been more or less a shortage for a year now -sometimes it's not too bad, sometime severe.
Usually the supply waxes and wanes depending on news coverage of any massacres in Gun-Free zones or moronic statements made by the Far-left National Socialist Democrats.
Most of the time 9mm is available, 380 is a lot more difficult JHP’s are more readily available than FMJ range ammo so you can at least have some for self-defense purposes but it can get expensive to practice.

Sportman’s Guide or Midway USA online. Also don’t sell yourself short on stopping power. Smith and Wesson M&P and Taurus Millenium Pro are compact semi-auto pistols available in .40 or .45 cal. I have one of each.
Never take a gun to a gun fight unless the caliber begins with a 4. And always take more ammo than you think you’ll need.
